Sustainability in Practice – A Commitment We Have Lived for Decades

For us, sustainability is more than just a word – it is a philosophy we have embraced for decades. As early as the 1990s, we were awarded the Environmental Quality Label of the Province, recognising our long-standing commitment to protecting the environment and using resources responsibly.

Today, we continue to take practical steps to conserve resources, support local producers and minimise our environmental footprint.

Here’s what we do every day:

  • Using resources responsibly: Consistent waste separation and the mindful use of resources are an integral part of our daily routine.
  • Harnessing the power of the sun: Our solar system helps us heat the water in our indoor swimming pool as well as our domestic hot water.
  • Regional quality and local products: We carefully select our ingredients, giving preference to regional products and doing our best to avoid food waste.
  • Fresh from our own garden: We grow our own vegetables and herbs. For everything else, we source as much as possible from our neighbours and local producers.
  • Authentic flavours, made in-house: Our speck is prepared and smoked in our own traditional smokehouse.
  • Taking responsibility every day: Our in-house laundry allows us to manage this aspect of our hotel operations ourselves.

For us, sustainability means making thoughtful choices, appreciating the natural riches of our region and taking responsibility for preserving them for future generations.

Because we believe that the most memorable holidays are those where enjoyment, a connection with nature and respect for the environment go hand in hand.
